Meet Our Team: 30 Seconds with Patti Jette, Journalist

Where were you born? 

I was born and raised in Adams, Massachusetts - a small town in the mountains far from Boston. 

What is your education background? 

I went to Cornell University in cold and snowy Ithaca, NY. I majored in Communication and learned how to shoot and edit video on a VHS camcorder!

What do you love about journalism/reporting/storytelling? 

I love interviewing people and discovering their passions and motivations. So many people have inspiring stories and I learn something new with every story I work on. Being able to bring those stories to life and share them with a mass audience through broadcast and social media is a great honor. 

What are you up to these days?

I lead photography tours all around Oahu, and I am working on two documentary projects in Washington, DC and Rwanda.  When I'm not working, I try to work out, hike, and get in the ocean as much as possible.

I'm an avid Crossfitter and can deadlift twice my body weight.
