Meet Our Team: 30 Seconds with Brianne Randle
Where were you born?
I was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu. It’s also where I met my husband & we now raise our children.
What is your education background?
I’m a proud Red Raider from Kahuku High School. “Go Big Red!” For college, I attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where I majored in Journalism. I produced, reported and anchored weekly newscasts for our campus television program CPTV.
What do you love about journalism/reporting/storytelling?
I love that Journalism has given me the opportunity to meet various kinds of people who I wouldn't normally cross paths with. Taking the time to hear their stories can really challenge your perspective on life. As a Journalist, you also get to see & do things that many other people will never get the chance to experience. Highlights for me were repelling off of a Waikiki hotel, riding in the Blue Angels’ Fat Albert, and reporting on President Barack Obama’s visits to the state. I was also a special correspondent on two feature stories for "LIVE with Regis & Kelly".
What are you up to these days?
I’m a Mom to two kids, a 5 year old son & a 1 year old daughter, who keep me on my toes. As a family we love to go surfing, spend time at the beach & travel. I’m also a dedicated member of the Make-A-Wish Hawaii Young Leaders Board helping to support the mission of granting wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Share an interesting fact about yourself.
I’ve solo’d an airplane (flown with no one else in the aircraft) while I was in flight school. I hope to one day complete my training and hours to receive a private pilots’ license.
